It's daddy's special day and we decided to chill at home. Blame it on me. If it weren't for my insatiable appetite we would have probably been hanging out elsewhere. On the other hand, if it weren't for me we wouldn't be celebrating father's day anyway. Right? Nice. :)
My dad is truly the best. Whenever I'm hungry, he's there to feed me. And when I run out of milk he gives me his nose! Now how many dads do you know will give up their nose for their son? Ain't I lucky? :)
I know there's something special about the nose. Grandpa makes a connection with all his grandkids by touching noses. It's a Weiss thing :)
I just turned one month old and guess what my parents had in store for me... A trip to the doctor's office... err awesome. Its not exactly what I was expecting- no cake, no cookies, is this your idea of a birthday party? Instead of sweets, I got poked with a needle! What the? I think I held my WTF face for about a minute before I started to find the words to describe the feeling... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I got over it rather quickly and returned to my slumber thanks to my parents' comforting. You can only guess that I spent the night drinking heavily (milk). This kind of behavior made me gain a healthy weight of 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I have mommy to thank for that one! ;-)
So 24 hours after we get home, I'm hungry. How can I be hungry? I've been feeding on mommy's milk for the last 24 hours straight! Turns out my bonehead parents don't know I'm not eating much... Mommy doesn't have milk yet. Cranky and hungry, Lola and Lolo swoop in to save me!Ahhh these are professionals! My Lola and I have a date every 2 hours at night and she makes SURE I'm eating well (don't ask how she managed to give me 3oz of milk each feeding...). I think she's giving me the old school method. Its ok, if I can stay awake long enough I'll keep eating. My Lolo and Lola are the best! They made sure my silly parents knew how to keep me happy. I can't wait to meet the rest of my crazy family! I hear I have a lot of cousins and there's another one on the way too!
So much stimulation! It's much louder at my home than the hospital and inside my mommy's belly, but I don't mind it so much. I sleep my 3 hours at a time pretty well. The sound of waves crashing in my crib sooth my wandering mind. There's so much to learn!
